Cecily Clements
Cecily Clements has practiced exclusively immigration law since 2007 and has experience representing foreign nationals before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of State, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and the federal Court of Appeals.
Ms. Clements graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor degrees in Russian Studies and Public Policy. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2006 where she participated in Honors Lawyering Program and was a Merit Scholar and a Public Interest Scholar. At her law school graduation, she was presented with the Rose Bird Elizabeth Award for Professionalism and Integrity.
Ms. Clements was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Lawyers Guild. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has represented minors in immigration proceedings pro bono through the Catholic Legal Immigration Network and Legal Services for Children and has served as a mentor attorney for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights’ asylum program.
